About Tenggol Diving
Tenggol diving take place around a set of islands that are the most southerly of Terengganu’s Marine Park islands. It consists of Pulau Tenggol (Tenggol Island), Pulau Nyireh, Tokong Timur, Tokong Burung and Tokong Talang/Tokong Kemudi, Tokong Laut.
Pulau Tenggol lies 14 nautical miles off the coast of quiet fishing town of Kuala Dungun, Terengganu, Malaysia. This rocky island about 50 hectares in size, spans less than 3 kilometers in length and 2 kilometers at its widest point, is one of the most beautiful and serene islands off Peninsular Malaysia’s east coast, with spectacular rocky cliffs its diving is excellent with many adventurous dive sites.
When you dive with Tenggol Coral Beach Resort our Dive Packages include Accommodation , full board meals, Boat transfer and your diving (Air Tanks and Weights). We invite you to bring along your own full set of dive equipment, however if you do not, you may rent all or part of your dive equipment from us. We keep excellent, well maintained equipment in house and our price list details each individual items rental cost for you.

Tenggol Dive Sites
We have dive sites for every ability level here in Tenggol. From calm shallow coral reefs suitable for beginners and open water divers to wreck diving and deep drifts to give the advanced divers a challenge! Tenggol Island has some great wreck dives. Just inside the bay of the resort you can find 2 main wrecks to dive with ease, deeper further out there are at least 5 more to discover. can choose their type of diving, from the relaxing reef areas to the pinnacles, sea mounts and dive sites, where strong currents, deeper waters and pelagics prevail, experienced divers may choose these more demanding dive sites like, “Tokong Timur”, “Tokong Laut” or “Tanjung Api” when looking for those big fish encounters.
Tenggol Sea Life
If you like scuba diving to see micro life, then Tenggol is haven for you! Nudibranch are common and come is vast numbers across a range of the species. Small Shrimps and even rarities such as ghost ornate pipe fish can be found at certain sites.
Pulau Tenggol is located along the whale sharks migratory route normally from August to October every year. It is much anticipated by divers as not many places in the world that these whale sharks stays longer at a certain place. The surroundings of Pulau Tenggol is rich in its marine life and coral haven and this might be the reason that whale sharks choose Pulau Tenggol as their playground. The ocean is a wide and wild place. Although we have alot of common sighting we are also treated to some truly rare and amazing aquatic life encounters here. Here’s Our Sea life guide.
Tenggol Marine Park
Tenggol Island is part of a larger Marine Park group , meaning its reefs and wildlife are protected. The corals therefore are in beautiful condition for the most part. Around Pulau Tenggol you will find 18 scuba dive sites and 7 more around the nearby satellite islands of Tenggol. These 25 dive sites offer certified divers Excellent Visibility most of the season making it some of the best scuba diving Malaysia has on offer and make for fantastic snorkelling also. The soft white sand beach outside our resort has perfect shallow calm clear waters to learn to dive or first time try dives!

This Refresher scuba review is best advised for any diver who has not been scuba diving in 6months or longer. Take it easy and relax in this fast simple refresher where under the direct guidance of a PADI Professional we will ease you back into the basics of buoyancy control, dive plans and good diving techniques.

This dive is a single training dive in Night Diving. Complete the PADI Night Adventure Dive and you will be able to relax and dive with confidence on the instructor lead night dives. This ALSO counts towards your PADI Advanced Diver License Certification and PADI Night Diver Specialty Course.
